Streber is a free wiki driven project management tool written in php5.
Freelancers and small teams can easily setup projects and keep track of tasks, issues, bugs, efforts etc.
It is a very user-friendly application with hidden details like right mouse-button brings up context-menus or navigation can be done with keyboard.
Some features of this open source project management tool:
- Tasks can have project-specific labels and categories
- Tasks can be grouped hierarchically

Streber requires a PHP5 enabled web server + MySQL as the database.

This looks like a great script. Going to give it a good testing out on my next project.
I gave it a look and what I didn’t like about it is that it lacks charts and planing options. All the rest was fine. There’s another tool that i’m currently testing, Wrike, and this one has a lot of promice, since it works like a wiki, lets goups your tasks in multiple ways and its gantt chart is interactive.
Streber looks promising, what’s the business plan though? Is it going to be through maintenance. An excellent business model that everyone’s doing right now is to have monthly fees. So they can host streber on a server, and then people will just create and manage their projects there, for a monthly/yearly fee.
