Rather than standard website templates, a free admin template is nearly impossible to find.
This is an admin template which you can use for web applications like:

I have created this admin template for a project of mine and pleased to share with WebResourcesDepot readers.
It is a 3 column design with a tabbed menu. The idea is having the standard categories in the tab menu for an easy reach and have all the detailed ones in the left menu. And there is an info box at the right to inform users what’s going on at that page.
You can customize it however you want to fit your project. It has a listing and a new entry sample which covers %99 of an admin screen.

SilverStripe is a powerful content management system which runs on Sapphire framework (object oriented framework like Ruby on Rails or Django).
The framework lets you rapidly code up the "objects" your project uses (e.g. staff members, products, customers, along with their relationships). ModalBox is a JavaScript technique for creating Web 2.0 - style modal dialogs (or sequence of dialogs) without using standard popups and page reloads.
It’s inspired by Mac OS X modal dialogs and based on Prototype JavaScript framework + script.aculo.us and valid XHTML/CSS. Content can be loaded with Ajax or just plain-HTML.
ModalBox Features
- Web 2.0-ready. ModalBox uses industry-standard libraries — prototype and script.aculo.us.
- Offline-mode. Use dynamic- or plain-HTML without any Ajax-calls to fill out your dialog windows.
- AJAX page loading. ModalBox uses AJAX instead of deprecated
iframe for content loading. It’s also more secure — you can’t access pages that are not on your host.

Using Uni-Form, which is a standards-based form template, even web users with only basic knowledge of these technologies can get nice looking, well structured, highly customizable, semantic, accessible and usable forms.
Users can choose between most common form layouts by simply assigning a css class to the fieldset element in order to get a different layout of the form controls your design requires.
Within the Uni-Form community, there are some extensions built too, like a Prototype one.
