iOS Boilerplate is a base for creating native iOS applications with support for 4.0+ versions of the operating system.

Right now, it is not a complete/true XCode template but an XCode project which makes developing easier for anyone who is looking to build a project by modifying and extending an already ready one.

The boilerplate includes helper classes and examples on:

• HTTP requests and an image cache (both in-memory and disk-based)
• UITableViews and UITableViewCells: fast scrolling, async images, pull-down-to-refresh, swipeable cells,…
• Maps and locations: directions between two points, autocomplete a location, etc.

And, there are few other projects already bundled including ASIHTTPRequest, JSONKit, SVProgressHUD and few others.

Baker is an open source HTML5 framework to publish ebooks for iPads with minimal effort.

In order to use the framework, HTML5 pages should be created with a fixed width of 768px.

For a temporary period, files should be named as 1.html, 2.html.. however, developers are working on the HPub format which will be more flexible.

There is a ready-to-use Xcode project provided where you can include the book, a custom icon and submit the final product to the App Store.

iPhone is rapidly mobilizing internet users & creating its own standards.

At the time this post is written, there are millions of iPhones in use & numbers are increasing really fast. So, it is becoming very hard to stay in-compatible with it.

There are 2 main ways to deliver your content / product into iPhone:

• As a compatible website (can act like an application)

The major differences between them are, an application can use all the iPhone features (like sounds, movements…), work offline where a webpage cannot (technically yes but it is not functional) and an application can be sold / distributed via the iPhone store.
