jQuery TOOLS is a set of frequently used user interface components, built with/for jQuery, to power your websites.

The library is lightweight (5.8kb) and consists of the following tools:

• tooltip

All the tools can be used together, extended, configured and styled which makes it very flexible.

Every feature in the library is very well documented & offers various examples to lower the learning curve.

It is also possible to download the tools you need rather than the whole package, combined in a one file.

Filament Group is sharing a method of "creating CSS tooltip pointers with no images" that we’ll probably see in the upcoming jQuery UI widgets.

It uses Polygonal CSS, a trick to display non rectangular shapes, for creating the tooltip pointer (a triangle).

Although the method looks experimental, it is cross-browser & provides ease for creating flexible solutions by not requiring an image.

The website explains how it is achieved in detail & the solution will probably become more popular once we see them in the jQuery UI widgets.

Wufoo, an online form builder application, is presenting 75+ downloadable & free XHTML-CSS form templates.

Templates include:

• Donation form & many more.

Templates can be customized easily via CSS, manually or with the pre-built CSS files.
