App Icon Template is an icon design toolkit for creating iOS application icons faster.
The kit includes a .PSD + .ATN (Adobe Photoshop Action) file where the .PSD comes with useful layers like the rounded corners, gradients and even various background textures.
Smart objects are used to automate the generation of multiple sizes and, once the design is saved, the template instantly displays the same icon in multiple sizes.
The PS actions included generate every needed file, both in squared (no transparency, to be used in the app) and in rounded versions (for other design uses). The files are automatically named after the Apple HIG so they’ll be good to deliver instantly.
Bijou is a set of beautiful icons that are tiny-in-size yet pixel-perfect in details.
There are 120+ items in the set which consists of popular icons like charts, actions, arrows, smileys, etc.
The download package includes transparent PNGs, a PSD file with all the icons as layers and a Photoshop custom shapes version (.CSH).
Also, usage is free for personal and commercial projects (no attribution required).
Smashing Magazine has recently shared a very nice set of free vector icons named August Interactive Icon Pack.
The set is focused on web UI design and includes items like arrows, actions, media player, download icons and more to ease creating such interfaces.
They are designed with Adobe Fireworks and exported as an editable + layered Photoshop file.
Download package consists of the PSD file, Fireworks PNG file and transparent PNGs for each icon.

Recently, they have released a new freebie which is an awesome set of tiny icons.
As expected, they are in PSD format, 30*30px by default and comes in a very well organized PSD file where each item is placed inside a layer group.
The set is so suitable to be used in web apps considering it has most of the commonly-used web app icons.
WordPressThemeShock, a website that releases high-quality freebies from time-to-time, has just published a huge set of free PSD website templates.
The set consists of 99 templates with well-layered PSD files, each having a homepage and internal page designs.
Such a big resource is very handy not only for using them as templates but also making use of the layers we like on other projects.

WebDesignShock has recently released a high-quality set of interface icons that follow the style of the ones used in Google+.
There are 204 items in the set, they have gray and colored versions (great for hover effect) and come in 2 sizes: 18*18px and 128*128px.
That's not all, besides .PNG, the icons are also available in .PSD format.
It has almost every item that a web application can need from actions to charts or devices. Simply, a must-bookmark.
Picons.me, an icon design company offering various icon sets, is sharing a set of 60 social icons for free.
The set has items for all the popular social networks and comes in multiple vector formats: .AI, .EPS, .PDF.
There are also .PSD + .CSH versions and .PNG in 8 different sizes (from 16*16px to 512*512px).
P.S. In order to prevent any confusions, the resource's website mentions that the Picons.me license doesn't apply to this social set.
