Sometimes we find an icon, love its design but the colors don’t fit to the project.

With Icons DB, a free and growing set of flat icons, that is not possible as we can get all the items in any color we prefer.

The set includes 1800+ items in multiple formats (ICO, PNG, JPG, GIF) and 8 sizes from 16*16px to 512*512px.

There are many icons which can fit very well to web apps and almost each item has multiple variations that can satisfy each taste.

Only drawback is the inability to download the whole set as they are only offered one-by-one.

There are many web-based apps for designing + editing images and, day-by-day, they are becoming a serious alternative to any desktop image editing softwares.

On the other hand, it is hard to find "animated GIF support" in any of them and creating animated GIFs without a desktop app can be a pain.

MotherEffingAnimatedGIF is a very simple-yet-functional and open source web application for quickly creating such images online.

You just drag 'n' drop any number of images to the app, re-order or rotate them, set the image size + quality and the delay between each frame.

Using transparent images in websites make so much sense in many cases as they fit perfectly to any background.

alphaPun.ch changes that by tracing the opaque part of PNG or GIF images and then punch through the alpha channel so the stuff behind it can be clicked.

Behind the scenes, it creates a mask for the opaque part of images along with masks for the clickable content behind them. The masks are positioned above the real image and users will actually be clicking to these masks.

It works by drag 'n' dropping an image to the loader and an HTML-CSS-JS (with jQuery) code is created automatically.

The project is definitely not a good fit for every image on websites but there will certainly be good cases of use.
