Jigsoar Icons is a set of 60 very good looking, smooth icons that are released for free.

The download package includes transparent .PNG items in four sizes (16px, 24px, 48px, and 64px) with light and dark versions of each icon.

There is also the Adobe Illustrator vector file (.AI) for customizing them however you wish.

Icons are flat, have a mobile-like style and includes widely used ones like edit, delete, e-mail, basket and more.

Wix, the widely-used online website builder which is known with its Flash-based platform, has launched a HTML5 version.

The new website builder is now compatible with the majority of browsers, works on mobile too and loads much faster.

It is a well-designed/planned product where a basic computer user can't go wrong with anything and a designer feels the flexibility it provides.

There are 50+ ready-to-use templates (with multiple color palettes each) to choose from where you can use them as a base or build a website from scratch.

The websites are created/updated while browsing. You can select any element, edit them or add new items like content, images, videos.. anything.

Wix's HTML5 platform is completely drag 'n' drop enabled where you can move elements easily or copy/cut-paste them using the keyboard to work faster.

It allows creating new pages and adding components like a gallery, social widgets, good-looking buttons, contact forms, maps, Flickr gallery and much more.

Although things are very straightforward, the steps and menus are pretty guiding and you never get lost or confused.

Creating a website with Wix is free and premium features (like using a custom domain or analytics support) requires a premium account.

In order to understand how your website is being consumed and to improve it, analyzing how users browse the website and which paths they follow is so important.

Although popular analytics apps like Google Analytics provide this information, Flow differentiates itself by focusing only to the visualization of paths, displaying real-time data and offering all of this with a slick, impressive and intuitive interface.

Rather than a chart, it displays a diagram of the actual paths people take when they browse your site and you can easily drill-down by clicking each item.

Also, it presents the number of people leaving from each page which is a great feedback to find out if those pages require improvements or not.

Sigma.js is an open-source JavaScript library with a small footprint for drawing graphs using HTML5 canvas.

It is built for to consuming static or dynamic but interactive network maps with unlimited nodes on a web page.

The library is standalone, can be extended with plugins (GEFX parser and ForceAtlas2 layout algorithm are included as plugins) and offers jQuery-like chainable methods.

There are a lot of variables for customizing each instance and various examples exist that show the capabilities of Sigma.js.

Hammer.js is a JavaScript library for adding touch gestures support to any website so that users can interact with them easier on touch devices.

It requires jQuery, only 2kb sized and supports tap, double tap, hold, drag and transform.

The library is implemented pretty easily:

• just bind Hammer.js to a container HTML element
• every touch event performed on that element returns a callback with an array of details including:
  • event
  • position
  • touches
  • scale
  • rotation

For drag gestures, it can also return extra info like the angle, direction and distance.

Hammer.js works -almost- on all modern browsers and, to sum up, "you can touch this" : ).

Blur.js is a flexible jQuery plugin for implementing blur effect to any web element.

It actually works by creating and placing psuedo-transparent blurred elements over the targeted ones and makes use of the StackBlur algorithm.

The source of the blurred item (it can use the background of body or other HTML elements), radius of the effect and it is positioning can be defined with ease.

There is built-in caching for re-using the blurred image and there is support for making the item where the effect is applied to be draggable (requreis jQuery UI).

Today, although many hosting companies are offering huge diskspaces and there is almost no chance of using it to the limits, keeping the total size under control is pretty important for reasons like:

• unnecessary and big-sized files can eat up bandwidth fast
• this data needs to be backed up regularly (smaller backups will be easier and faster)
• moving data becomes harder
• and more..

Disk Usage Reports is a free and open source PHP application for displaying and analyzing disk usage of a website or desktop.

The application can collect the data with 3 different methods:

• PHP script
• Windows EXE
• Linux bash script

and presents it inside a good-looking, slick interface where you can browse the folders with a tree menu and sort them by name, size or file count.

It can also show the 100 largest files which is great for easily locating the items causing the high disk usage.

The data is stored as JSON (all folders have their own JSON files) and reports are generated on the client-side (which makes the app pretty secure).

Today, many project management applications can calculate the time that is being worked on projects to use them in various reports.

If you are not using such a project management system and looking for a simpler solution just to track time, Kimai can be a good alternative.

It is a PHP-powered, open source web application that enables us to define projects/tasks and record the time we work on each item.

Although it is web-based, the timer keeps working even if the browser is closed unless it is stopped.

After collecting the data, it can generate a report of your activities on demand (yearly, monthly, daily, by customer/project/action).

The application stores the data in a MySQL database and it has a multilingual interface.

HTML Canvas Library is a lightweight and standalone JavaScript wrapper for the native canvas element to simplify creating animations and visualizations.

It has easy-to-use and consistent methods that are capable of handling tasks like:

• animations with framerate control
• cross-browser keyboard, mouse and multitouch event capture
• layers support for high-performance animations
• nine-point quick aligning support
• simple rotations
• built-in image loading

The library is documented well and there are lots of examples provided (including interfacing the Box2D-JS physics library).

jQuery File Upload is an impressive plugin for creating a flexible and user-friendly upload functionality with ease.

The plugin support multiple file selection and drag 'n' drops. It can display a preview of images to be uploaded and progress bars exist to inform users.

jQuery File Upload can handle cross-domain, chunked and resumable file uploads. File types and max-min sizes can be restricted with simple functions and it can work with any server-side language.

There are callbacks on every level and a detailed documentation that covers many different scenarios exists.
