Open Source & Web-Based Personal Information Dashboard: conjoon

conjoon is a web-based open source application, built with the Zend Framework, that focuses on message exchanging.
Currently, it is a full-featured webmail & RSS reader client with contacts management. But the upcoming releases show that it will also have an integrated Twitter client with multiple accounts support.
Thanks to Ext JS, the application has a slick desktop-like interface with tabs, drag'n drops & more.
It comes with a web-based installer & requires PHP/MySQL to run.
Requirements: PHP 5.2.5+, MySQL 5+
Compatibility: All Major Browsers (ecept IE6)

But the upcoming releases show that it will be more like integrated Twitter messaging.

That’s not entirely correct – the next release will have a module called “Twitter client” – it’s integrated into the workbench and let’s you read and create tweets. It also brings some account management functionality. So it’s an Add-on to bring your beloved Twitter messaging into conjoon.
Oh, did I mention that it’s capable of managing multiple Twitter accounts?
@Thorsten,
Thanks very much for the info.
I’ve just updated that part of the post.
Imho, conjoon will be a very functional app. once it has more features.
We were impressed with the use of EXT JS and that they’ve based the project on Zend. We’re developing with the same sources and framework for an online document sharing tool and like it very much.
Unfortunately we’re looking for an alternative to Roundcube and found Conjoon to be one of the decent alternatives. But as we’re running many servers in our hosting facility, we cannot approve an app with the update history as with Conjoon. No updates have been released since January 09 and it’s still in alpha – which I assume isn’t nearly production-ready?
I’ll follow this project and hopefully we see another (bugfree) release and a demo on the site.
