ecoder is a simple & open source web-based code editor built with PHP & JavaScript.
It offers real-time colour syntax highlighting, allowing multiple documents being edited online at the same time.
The application has a file browser & file uploader. Multiple files, while being edited, can be browsed within tabs & saved easily.
Although ecoder is currently in beta stage, it is a promising application.
Requirements: PHP
Compatibility: All Major Browsers (except IE6)

This looks like a great web app for people that are mobile freelancers.
Very interesting, but why not IE 6?
It’s very cute easy editor
Why not IE6? Because IE6 is not a real browser.
@SMR: Because IE6 barely begins to properly support HTML4, it’s way too much to expect it to support HTML5… Coders need to keep moving forward. If there is a single HTML/PHP/ANYTHING coder out there that i using IE 6, they must be stoned (both hippie style and biblical style, heh)
Yeh – I did not add support for IE6, as it is clearly such a poor browser – this is a techy tool, not something that needs to work in “all” browsers – just the modern ones.
