GMFoto is an open source photo gallery script, built with PHP & does not require a database.
With the template & multi-user support, the script offers a wide-usage from a single installation.
Images can be added by uploading via FTP or with KFM. They will be compressed and resized automatically.
GMFoto provides an unlimited category logic which can be created when uploading images as every folder is a category.
Images are displayed in a Lightbox and can be browsed easily with prev-next buttons.
Although the script is in early beta, it is a very promising one.

This is cool, does the user have to have FTP knowledge though? I know that is not hard to show someone, but a user interface would be even easier! Can you not set it up so they can log in to something to upload the pages?
if you want an even easier way to mange the photos you can choose to install KFM – it’s an ajax file manager – which gives you drag and drop control over all folders and images.
Hi,
The problem with this script is that it just gives open access to all the files… So anybody can delete or move other peoples files!
This would be so so so much better (and exactly what I am looking for) if it had a login function… Then this would alow users to upload / manage there own photos via FTP / KFM but would still contribute to the main gallery!
This product sucks BADLY. The instructions are HORRIBLE, WAY too complicated for trying to get a simply gallery setup. Not even worth looking at, MOVE ON.
