Is this also flooded with useless buttons ?
You can decide what button you want to display or not
When I checked out FCKeditor vs. CKeditor a few weeks back, I found that CKeditor just didn’t have some of the features that FCKeditor did, like the image upload/manager. Looks like that’s now integrated.
I was just about to get to the point in my project where I was going to integrate FCKeditor. Looks like I might use CKeditor instead. Thanks for the heads-up.

The look and feel is better and is accesible and faster but the lack of the image upload functionality makes the old editor better in my opinion.

Really good sources this CKeditor i test it on local it’s just enormous !!
We are implementing CKEditor 3.2 with our site. but we are unable to uplaod images. while we surf with google we got abt CKFinder.

This look great and I am thinking of using it in developing a CMS. Pardon me if this question look daft; I will really need clarification on the licensing I am a web developer and will like to be using CKeditor in developing the CMS but really got confused about the licensing and the open source stuff. In clearer terms do I need to buy a license in other to use it?

As far as I see, it can be used for open source projects or for commercial projects where you should keep the references to the CKEditor in its code, release any updates you made to its code as open source.
Actually, the license makes sense after the both license types are read: http://ckeditor.com/license, else, it looks unclear.
