Lightbox That Displays Any Media: LightWindow

LightWindow is a highly configurable Lightbox (modal window) solution built with Prototype & script.aculo.us.
It can display any media including Flash, Quicktime or an external website. And, it has gallery support with a multi-gallery feature.
The modal window can be custom positioned and it is automatically resized to fit the content.
LightWindow can be re-styled including markup, CSS & animations easily. Besides clicking on the close button & outside of the modal window, ESC key works for this feature too.
Requirements: Prototype, Script.aculo.us (included with the download)
Compatibility: All Major Browsers

Wow. Only a year after jQuery Thickbox.
I use LightView (http://www.nickstakenburg.com/projects/lightview/) that has done the same thing for quite a long time. The developer even added changes to his script by my request (general request, nothing too specific). Couldn’t ask for a better resource.
@Mike - this has actually been out for quite some time. I first implemented it about a year ago.
This: http://www.mjijackson.com/shadowbox/ is still much better though. It runs off of multiple .js libraries, so whichever is your favorite… go with it.
I’ve tried reproducing this to no success has anyone got a clue. They’re using scriptaculous but the code just doesn’t run on my local server. I’ve been through the javascripts to see if they where being locked down to which they weren’t.

Lightwindow doesn’t allow select elements for some reason. Haven’t tried this with Lightview yet.
