FlareVideo is an open source and free HTML5 video player that falls back to Flash for incompatible browsers.
The player can be customized easily using CSS-HTML and JS with its theming support (and already ships with 3 themes: default, spotify and Vimeo).
It is built on jQuery + jQuery UI and supports:
- fullscreen
- autoplay
- custom keyboard shortcuts
- preloading – autobuffering
- and more..
Requirements: jQuery and jQuery UI

realy great player!
very very slow….i don’t like
Seems like a nice player to add to a website for streaming content.
Doesn’t seem slow to me at all, Frank. What’s your hardware/software setup?
hmm..i’ll try it
nice player but I didn’t like the volume control. It doesn’t change the level as you drag the volume slider left or right; only when you let go.
Does not play on iPhone (and I’m assuming iPad). Support for portable devices should be a must for any new html5 video player. Let’s hope VideoFlare will catch up.
