Similar to TinyURL, a short URL service can be created in minutes with Shorty.
Shorty is a PHP script for creating shorter, human readable links from long URLs.
A reason to prefer using Shorty for personal use rather than TinyURL or similar services may be eliminating the risk of these services becoming offline and losing your links, as you can use this free short URL script forever.
Shorty has an admin interface where links can be organized and clicking statistics can be viewed. You can even have a RSS for your links.
Requirements: PHP 4+, MySQL 3.23+, and Apache 1.2+

Yeah, Shorty is great. Pretty easy to install, and it has plenty of uses.
Some WordPress users may want to check out the GoCodes Redirection plugin. It does a similar thing, but it integrates with WordPress.

Great but don’t work
I installed it but trouble is, go to the login screen and there’s no way of logging in! No login bar

@GnoM3, I had seen some websites using the script, I believe that it can be an installation issue or they have updted the script and the problem is with the script. Not sure, sorry.
I think is a little dificult to install, but is great!
I think is very util. However I’d preffer a script whit subdomain. Thank you!
