I’ve used this and, while I don’t do a ton of invoicing since I do only a few side projects, it has been very good so far.
You might have added that it’s built using codeigniter, making it flexible and easy to extend
I like BambooInvoice.
Thanks for the post.
i am using it for a while, UI is pretty poor but the functionality is absolutely great!
i guess thanks should go out for CodeIgniter
I don’t see how they can claim this is ‘beautiful’. It looks like cr*p.
Not only is it made in codeigniter, its made by one of the people who develop codeigniter,
even if its not used for invoicing, learning from the code while learning CI(codeigniter) has been a massive benifit for me!
I just wrote a review and setup a new demo link for Bamboo invoice:

This project is dead, it is another project that has been neglected under the excuse there is no time, the math in the program is not right, time always seems to be an excuse when someone reaches their level of understanding. Don’t waste your time on this product, free doesn’t have to mean it doesn’t work.
@billybob:
BambooInvoice is not dead just very slowly moving. Derek Allard has posted a snapshop of v.9 thats still underway and he’s very responsive on his forums:
http://forums.bambooinvoice.org/index.php/forums/viewthread/1584/
Derek has spent time to develop BambooInvoice for himself and devoted more time to share it with others. He had no obligation to do so. That deserves much appreciation alone.
While open source is open and free, it still needs funding and community support to survive. Instead of grousing, donate and help develop projects before they truly become abandoned. At least, give developers the respect they deserve.
