esoTalk – Simple, Fast & Modern Forum App

Previously, a post at WRD had shared the 9 well-known and free forum softwares.
Here is a fresh alternative named esoTalk, which focuses on removing the complexity of forum apps with a simple + modern interface and functionality.
It is built with PHP-MySQL, includes the main features a forum would need and has a plugin system for extending it more.
esoTalk is still in the early stages of its development, not as feature-rich as many other alternatives. But, maybe, something simpler is what you are looking for.

Sorry, I like your Page very much and love your picks, but this pick seems to be a little different.
As far as I know, the lead developer of esotalk isn’t in the project anymore and there’s no more further developing. Referring to this -> http://esotalk.org/forum/62-good-and-bad it seems its not “in the early stages of development” anymore as you mentioned in this article. GitHub says last push 1 month ago, okay… dunno, just wanted to say I won’t use it because it seems to me it’s not developed anymore.

I totally respect your thoughts on that and seems like you have a point.
While digging the app, I had seen this entry: http://esotalk.org/forum/51-esotalk-1-0-0g2-released but not the one you had mentioned.
I always found many forum apps to be overly-bloated and such a resource looked (and hope will be) promising.
But, like you mentioned, its future -sadly- seems unclear.
