I have now even got it working with sub-links. For Internet Explorer (IE), however, you need the newest versions of jQuery and jQuery-UI for that.

I am using an Ordered List and in Chrome and Firefox, things works fine (i.e. if I drag #1 to the #3 spot, all of the list #s update properly).

But in IE, when I drag one to a new position, the OL number disappears and I can’t move that one anymore.

Anyone know why this isn’t working in IE?

Could this be built into an array that looked something like a bar chart? Maybe 12- 15 columns? Could you drag an item from one column into another one?

When you get past the sql and php I am really over my head.

It’s solved !
This was my first line in the html page :

Removing this line solved the issue.
Anyone an idea why ? What should I put here ?

when testing your script, it drags and drops as wanted.

but when the items-to-be-dragged are placed at the bottom of my html page and – after scrolling – the ContentWrap is moved to the top of my page, it goes wrong. meaning, the item dragged at THAT moment is no longer visible, until it’s dropped. it looks like that THAT item is placed at about 400 pixels too high during dragging. any help ? my DIV’s and SPAN’s and other closing tags are okay …
