OSM Player is a highly customizable and open source HTML5 media player that is built with jQuery.
It is designed to dynamically play almost any media, whether it be HTML5 video – Flash video – Audio, etc.
For any non-standard media and browsers without HTML5 support, it can fallback to Flash.
OSM Player supports playlists and offers a seamless Youtube/Vimeo integration.
The playlist can optionally be hidden and the video can be displayed in fullscreen.
Also, the player generates direct and embed links to the media which is nice for anyone willing to include the content to their web pages.
Compatibility: All Major Browsers

Very nice. I also suggest you check out the Kaltura HTML5 Media Library with full video tools. You can also learn more at our recently launched industry resource http://www.html5video.org
This really changes the industry! Just think, you can now build a fully open dynamic video site, no need for the service part of things like companies that make you use a backend service like bright cove and kaltura. Great news!!!
Hi, I’m a developer with the company responsible for the OSMP mentioned above. I would like to correct one of the Requirements: listed above…
The OSM Player ‘does not’ require jQuery UI. Only JQuery.
Thanks for all your support on our Open Source project.
Hi, I’m the project lead on MediaFront.
Thanks for the great post. One important thing. There are no dependencies, everything is included in the download. You do not need to install anything.
This is wrong: “Requirements: jQuery, jQuery UI”
Install it and you are ready to go!
@MediaFront & Shaun,
Thanks for the info. I’ve just updated the details.
I need to clarify myself.
Sorry, inside of Drupal there are no dependencies. If you use the standalone you DO need jQuery, but jQuery UI is not needed. The option is there to use jQuery Themeroller http://jqueryui.com/themeroller/, but again, no dependency on jQuery UI.
Sorry about the confusion there.
For more info we had a session at DrupalCon, which goes over the whole project and how we are truly open source. http://mediafront.org/drupalconsf
i need a video player with playlist at the bottom, no description just want the player to show 3 queued videos at the bottom. I am finding it hard to find such customized video player
