Well, I have a day job, so most of the freelance work I do is pro bono as my way to give back to my community. With new business cards, I would take more opportunities to get my name out there locally so I can continue to let Ottawa non-profits know that I’m available for consulting or design. Until now, it’s been more word-of-mouth, but some new snazzy cards would help with the networking. Cheers.

I’ve been meaning to get some business cards for a while for my freelance web design services, which haven’t gotten quite off the ground between work and school. As I am getting my folio, website and personal marketing colateral together for my first attempt at launching a freelance website design service here in Australia, the business cards and banner would be a fantastic headstart in boosting my appearance to prospective clients.

I would use the cards as a cornerstone for my elevator pitches as I launch my new startup – when bootstrapping a company, inexpensive solutions are important, and free business cards are hard to beat!
I would use the canvas print to earn brownie points with my wife – just got married and she wants to get a canvas print for our bedroom, whereas I tend to prefer matte photo prints. In this case, though, I’d concede and get a big fat canvas wedding print done up and surprise her.

I’m an independent Longaberger consultant and that’s the focus of my blog. Every fall I go up to the Basket Mecca in Ohio and visit all of the shops and businesses Longaberger related in Dresden, these business cards will give me something to leave with business owners who might like a little online advertising in exchange for a little something something on my blog be it a giveaway or discount for readers.
The cards would also be helpful when I meet new customers and to send to current customers so they can easily keep track of my information.
